Gemma Taylor is a British mixed media artist whose work explores the relationship between women, mythology and the natural world.
Working from her home studio in the North of England, she creates expressive portraits inspired by goddesses, warrior women, wildlife and the changing moons of the year. Through layers of acrylic, oil, collage and mark-making, her paintings celebrate feminine strength, resilience and our connection to nature.
She is currently developing her debut professional collection, Matriarchs of Power—a series of original works that weave together mythology, wildlife and botanical elements into a contemporary visual language.
